History
Capital Answering Service was founded in 1945 as a sole proprietorship registered in Lewis and Clark County (Montana) as Capital Answering and Ambulance Company. It was originally a medical assistance
operation and expanded into other service areas in 1965 by then owner James V. Smith. Daniel A. and Jacqueline A. Johnson purchased the company on October 1, 1977, and incorporated in Montana in
1979. Over the years Capital Answering Service expand from Helena into Bozeman, Livings ton and Butte, Montana.
In May of 1995, Dan and Jackie Johnson purchased Airpage/Big Sky Beeper Company in Billings, Montana. This acquisition brought more coverage expansion with the addition of the Billings, Montana market;
and the Casper, Douglas and Gillette, Wyoming markets.
Airpage became the umbrella name that we adopted for our multi-state operation. Currently, Airpage offers services that include:
- 24 hour Telephone Secretarial Service
- Paging, Voice Messaging with fax
- Fax Store and Forward
- Alarm Monitoring
- Order Entry
- Information Exchange and more.
The FCC's approval of 26 additional paging licenses in May of 1996 again brought opportunities for expansion. These paging licenses enable Airpage to cover multiple cities in Montana and
Wyoming with quality service while positioning ourselves to provide communications services not available through any other company.
Airpage's strength and growth come from our philosophy of service, commitment and quality in meeting all our clients' communication needs.
